Baraboo, most often known as "Circus City" - the Ringling Brothers called Baraboo home and had their winter quarters in the city until 1918. In 1884 the young Ringling Brothers gave their first official circus performance. Recipes include: Bread and Tea Cakes, Cookies and Doughnuts, Cakes and Fillings, Candies, Eggs, Fish, Frozen Dainties, Meats, Puddings, Pies, Pickles, Catsups and Preserves, Salads and Dressings, Soups, and Vegetables. Throughout the cookbook we find a great deal of local advertisements - Druggists, Dry Goods, Fancy Groceries, Bakery, Book Binding, Fine Clothing, Furniture and Undertaking, and more. Interior clean, Wraps rubbed on cover and spine with 1/2 loss to head.
