Madhur Jaffrey was an award winning actress before her career took a turn as the Indian food ambassador for American cooks. After an article appeared in the New York Times in 1966, about Jaffrey and her cooking, her career was forever changed. Here she provides sample menus, notes on spices and flavoring, recipes, a list of sources and a glossary of terms.
