His father was a senior member of Saunders and Ottley book publisher of London. After working for his father, Saunders was sent to NY where he worked for the New York Evening Post, Harper Brothers, and the Astor Library. This book deliberates on many subjects: Food, Flowers, Matrimony, Books, Sports, Sleep, and other ruminations. Interior lightly foxed, hinges cracked but repaired. Boards rubbed and lightly frayed.
