About
Founded in Hastings-on-Hudson, New York in 1978, Riverrun was purchased in 2016 by Thomas Lecky after a 21-year career in the auction world. Tom ran Doyle New York’s Books and Prints Department in the 1990s before moving to Christie’s as a senior specialist and later Head of the New York Books and Manuscripts Department. Tom received his Master’s in American literature from Stanford in 1994 after studying English lit as an undergraduate at Columbia. Riverrun handles fine, rare, and unusual books from all periods and genres. There are large holdings in art, illustrated books, photography, literature, early printed books, Americana, illustrated books, and fine press. We have thousands of books not listed online in these and many other fields, and are constantly sourcing new material from private collections and public auction. Please let us know if we can help you locate something not listed in our stock. Tom Lecky is a member of the Appraiser's Association of America, is certified in the field of printed books and manuscripts, and provides USPAP compliant appraisals for estate tax, charitable donation, and insurance. Tom has been a member of The Grolier Club and has appeared as an appraiser on WGBH’s Antiques Roadshow since 1999, and is a member of the Bibliographical Society of America.Terms of Sale
All purchases are shipped subject to approval, and we will accept returns if notified within 30 days of receipt for any reason. Please e-mail orders@riverrunbooks.com or call (914) 478-1339 to initiate your return. New York State residents must pay the appropriate sales tax. We will notify you after your order of any additional charges owed. Overseas orders should specify shipping preference. Libraries may apply for deferred billing.
